By the time I was 12, my brother and I were in a relationship.
We had to do a lot of housework.
I was really shy.
And, I think, he was really scared of me.
So we were kind of on edge.
He said to me, “You’re going to be like this.”
So I thought, “Yeah, this is what I’m going to do.”
And I started to like that I was going to like, be like, a guy.
And that’s what I ended up doing.
And I think it’s because of that that I got to like start thinking about my sexuality and my gender identity, and the way I was feeling in general and the fact that I didn’t have a real family, and I felt so isolated.
So I kind of had a sort of “Oh, that’s it” moment and just kind of, like, I started doing it, and my life changed.
And it kind of took me a while to fully realize that that’s not who I am.
And so I started thinking about how to be more comfortable with who I really am.
It was hard for me to get out there because I’m very introverted and I have a lot to deal with at home.
So, I just started to try to be better at accepting myself, to be kind of more accepting of myself, and to try and be more open to people, to accept myself as I am and the kind of person I am, which is who I want to be, rather than trying to be someone else.
I think the reason I’m like, “I really want to go to a party, because that’s when I’m really comfortable,” is because I feel so comfortable being myself.
So it was hard to say, “Oh no, I’m not going to go.”
But I’ve realized that it’s okay for me not to be comfortable with my body.
I’m okay with it, because it’s who I love.
And if I want something to happen to me or my body, I feel like I can go out there and be myself.
That’s just my truth.
And what I’ve learned is, you have to embrace who you are and be yourself.
You have to accept yourself and be open to who you really are.
And to be open, that means you have the ability to be whoever you want to.
So just try to embrace yourself and not be afraid to embrace your true self, to embrace that person.
So that’s the message I’m trying to give.
